Ammco Phenolic Bull Gears" for 1940's Ammco and Delta shapers.
We have about 25
(2-14-2016) phenolic bull gears for Ammco and Delta metal shapers patterned from
original gears. The material is the same Grade C phenolic and the attachement
inserts are CNC machined from 12L14 steel. The blanks were made and sent to a
gear cutting business for the helical teeth to be cut. This is our third run of
these gears and we have never gotten a complaint, however we will refund your
money if the gear you purchased does not meet your needs and is returned in good
unmarked condition.
The price reflects the original replacement cost from
an invoice scan from 1948 or 49. That was $14.35 and run through an inflation
calculator we get $158.38
(CPI
Inflation Calculator).
We are selling them for $158.00.

From my fourth run of Ammco bull gears over many years, made to original
specifications of grade C phenolic with steel inserts for the 1/4-20 slide
mounting screws pressed in. The helical teeth were hobbed by a dedicated gear
making business. The two small stop pin holes are drilled and two pins included
for the installer to drive in place.
Money back return for undamaged gear. Gears sent via USPS flat rate, the cost is
included in the price.
Payment via paypal, please contact me over CL mailer and I'll send back the
email to send the paypal funds to. If you don't have paypal say so and I will
send the postal address to send a postal money order to.
Edit; The price was raised to $158 each because of increases in the costs of
materials and production. See first two photos.
As of today we also offer a complete final drive set; (See third and fourth
photo's) this bull gear, the mating pinion gear made of steel, the pinion gear
shaft with new bronze bushings and the pinion gear pre-drilled and taper reamed
for the taper pin. All of the above as per an original sample for $350. Same
money back guarantee. Note; the taper pin in the pinion gear is lightly tapped
in place, it will need to be driven in so equal amounts project from each side
by the installer while the shaft and gear are within the column.
Thank you.
